The Meaning Behind the Name
Casa Naran, meaning “moon eclipse” in Mayan, was born from the quiet magic of light and shadow. Just as an eclipse evokes mystery and awe, the design of the house invites stillness and reflection.
At its heart, a constellation of lights glows softly across the main wall of the pool — like a celestial mural that shifts with the day. Subtle points of light rise along the staircase, resembling stars in motion, guiding guests gently from one space to another.
Design & Architecture
Casa Naran blends Mexican tradition with contemporary tranquility. Rooted in Mérida’s colonial architecture, it features local wood, handwoven textiles, and design elements that reflect Yán’s cultural heritage. Natural light and artisanal touches create an authentic, serene atmosphere. Casa Naran prioritizes simplicity, comfort, and cultural harmony.
